Release Information of bestIMAGE 64 Bit Edition Patch 5.60/04

Solved CAD Bugs:

Same as 5.60/03 but with corrected location of OutputParameter.dll
Wrong Lab color conversion for color block printing. Colorblock color was slightly different to design color when printing Lab.
If a clipboard file in paste had Separations with Touchfit enabled but no Separations were selected during paste, an Error 3 occured.
Export PDF saved Separations in inverted order.
RGB Tiff files with alpha channel were not imported by mistake ('unsupported format' error).
More restricted file size for overview calculation in FileOpen dialog as this freezed the open dialog for large files.
Vector path objects were leaving a gap (empty pixels) between fill and stroke because fill was not rendered as accurate as stroke.
Repeat size did not correctly repeat vector objects of files with drop.
Edit/Bow and Edit/Spline abortion with 'Escape' key is now working correctly.
Edit/Box drawing is now working correctly. Some weird artifacts on the box corners should be solved.
There was a memory corruption if more than 256 service keys were entered.
bestIMAGE crashed if USB-Stick (or other media) was removed and file was still open in Job-Editor.
Export PDF produced wrong results (missing colors) if CMYK separations were used in bestIMAGE.
Repeat-Size made bestIMAGE crash if all vector objects were removed during resizing operation.
NetCom was unable to export files larger than 4GB in lossless mode (LYC).
Upgraded PDF library to fix some rendering issues with clipping objects.
Flatten of vector object(s) crashed if the object had no selected separation.
Network files can also be used for 'unrasterized source file' in flexo plugin without an error message.
bestIMAGE application hung in case a PDF was imported with a pixel width smaller than number of CPU's.
It was not possible to turn off ICM printer profile in Layout-Print even if checkbox was switched off.

New CAD features:

Remember last device name and retainer forf job editor. If in extra/settings the 'General' device is selected, the last selected job editor device and retainer will be set.

Solved CAM Bugs:

Same as 5.60/03 but with corrected location of OutputParameter.dll
Set correct material name for output object after selecting a production calibration with material.
There was a memory corruption if more than 256 service keys were entered.
Selfcalibration and selfcalibration sensor-test was not working for device without Z-Axis (e.g.: rotaLEX).
Error description was missing in Engraving-Log if something went wrong during output.
bestIMAGE crashed if USB-Stick (or other media) was removed and file was still open in CAM-Plugin.
No error was displayed when moving Axis-X with open cover.
smartLEX: No error was displayed when moving Axis-Z to circumference and no screen was present.
smartLEX: application crash if any exception happened during 'Manual control' tab change.
Correct convertion of inlay object printingmode in case of loading job files older than 5.60/01.
Cooling device was not switched off in case of cooling device error.
Jobs were not save-/loadable if engraving job directory was not existing.
Network files can also be used for 'unrasterized source file' in flexo plugin without an error message.
Network jobs with inlay objects can be loaded without a deadlock of bestIMAGE.
IPG/Encoder testpage in the toolbox is available without service access.

Solved CAM Bugs for service technicians:

LSU ignored timeout for peltier cooling check on LEX. This lead to an immediate error instead of waiting for the timeout to switch on.
LSU checked laser power supply even if laser was not enabled. This lead to a laser power supply error before the laser could be switched on.

New CAM features for service technicians:

The 2nd temperature range is now configurable for all devices (depending on 'Monitor temp 2' flag).
Device selection name for DLX was renamed from 'DLX 70X' to 'DLX 7XX' (due to device DLX 713).
New default axis settings for device DLX 7XX (according to newer DLX 71X).
Manual logging database backups and collected logging infos are uploaded via BITS now if BITS uploading is active.

It is recommended to make backups of this files before installation: InfoMgmtBE.db (maybe located on a shared server location)

Installation of Patch:

This Patch can only be applied on bestIMAGE 5.60/01, 5.60/02 or 5.60.03 !
Download this file:

Update.exe

and double click on the downloaded file Update.exe. This will start the Patch installation program which will guide you through the installation.
You have to close bestIMAGE before launching Update.exe.
The setup only was successful if you read a success message at the end of the installation !

If the installation can not be completed successfully for any reason, you have to completely uninstall all bestIMAGE software and reinstall it, otherwise an unstable configuration might be the result.
