Release Information of bestIMAGE 64 Bit Edition Patch 5.70/07

New CAD features:

Import TIFF: Additional ESKO XMP meta data (if present and license valid) is read from tiff files to get color information and separation name.
Import LEN: Now supporting "Basel Scheel Laser graphics" LEN files beside ESKO LEN files.
Background jobs: New option /sct to scale together multiple TIFF files, which means several files (having different size/resolutions due to rastering with different raster angles and active raster correction) are scaled to the largest size off all to be able to visually check those files after opening combined.

New CAM features:

Helios: New retainer (#10) for new vacuum drum which is used for blanket engraving.
Now supporting "Basel Scheel Laser graphics" LEN files beside ESKO LEN files for ONLFY engraving.
DLX and variLEX in IR-mode now can be manually calibrated beside automatic calibration, so user can activate calibration (which could take several minutes) at any time he wants.
Jobs also get archived now if Job-Archiving is enabled but jobs are not loaded from pending list.
New default production calibration dara sets for rotaPlate on variLEX machines

Solved CAD Bugs:

Drag&Drop of colors from color wheel and color info to clipboard or (not read-only) color books are now possible.

Solved CAM Bugs:

Job progress updates are only written once a minute to prevent excessive database access.
Wrong output for TIFF and LEN if 'Begin at Y' was used and file height was clipped.
Finished pending job was not set 'done' in some cases (e.g.: if there was an error during home referencing after output, the job was not set 'done').
Sharing violation during network job template opening.
If variLEX (3 channel UV, 6 channel IR) was started in UV mode and then switched to IR, channel number 3 to 6 produced wrong output.
Set correct raster parameter for dot shape, dot drop and dot free space after selection from rasterlist.
Pending jobs search filter also searches in hidden jobs.
Job-Editor: Only jobs of current Job-Editor device are displayed in pending list (with option to show others as well).
Display correct message for successfully done and aborted jobs depending on machine type.
LEN files containing a complete vertical or horizontal black line could have caused a crash of the CAM plugin.
Flate compressed ESKO LEN files with Motorola byte order (from older Apple systems having Motorola CPUs) are now also supported. (Default compressed was already supported with Intel and Motorola byte order, Flate compressed only Intel byte order was supported).
Opening cover of bestLEN 741X or ecoLEN 731X was not possible after pressing and releasing Emergency Stop.
Change Job-Archiving settings was not possible without Service-Access.
Correct update of UI controls inside user settings page in job editor.
After job (also from pending list) or file was loaded switch back to output or details page.
If 2 LEN or TIFF Files were engraved on top of each other (vertically arranged) and resolution and size was large enough, one file destroyed line data of the other file
DLX, variLEX, smartLEX, rotaLEX self calibration sometimes failed although there was no reason to fail, in service mode calibration was successful.
Focus field in job report is hidden if not relevant for this machine type.

Solved CAM Bugs (new user interface only):

Removing of objects via 'Delete' key inside object list during output is now suppressed.
Job wizard is suppressing the single beam/multi beam warning message during loading the template.
Single beam templates can also be loaded on multibeam devices and vice versa.
Display power limit in job wizard 'modify job data' page only when adjustable.
Correct update of pico table description after exchange of binded file object.
Correct update of 'auto positioning' of inlay object(s) after loading the job.
Display correct circumference in output data page after loading job or changing circumference in job properties.
If job version selection was cancelled, the job was removed from pending list (and re-added after some time).
If deleting a job from pending list was cancelled, the job was removed from list (and re-added after some time).
Correct enable/disable of circumference and screen length GUI controls depending on fixed sizes and/or smartGUI.
Set/Clip correct output start X in case of device with left screen offset (e.g. bestLEN741X).
bestLEN741X: It is possible to reference Axis Z during having a repeat sensor error.

Solved CAM Bugs for service technicians:

Logging database which contains special character (e.g.: umlauts) in database path or name could not be opened.
Device status bits were misinterpreted in CAMLogging histories 'Find...' dialog
In CAM service tool it is possible to activate and MIN/MAX capturing of the rotation speed.
Possibility to display the error lookup dialog to get error information for a given error code (left double click inside device panel).
Input and use of expose intensity is now working as usual for DLX7XX.
ET200S(P): Skipping axis position de-validation if service key switch is active.

New CAM features for service technicians (new user interface only):

Pulse length' is now configurable for all 'not analog' devices except MAX inside 'Configure device' page.
On Rotation drive settings page the SINAMICS controller serial number is displayed (for faster filling out the safety assurance protocol).
Rotation speed MIN/MAX capturing tool added in CAMServiceTool.

It is recommended to make backups of this files before installation: InfoMgmtBE.db (maybe located on a shared server location)

Installation of Patch:

This Patch can only be applied on bestIMAGE 5.70/01, 5.70/02, 5.70/03, 5.70/04, 5.70/05 or 5.70/06!
Download this file:

Update.exe
and double click on the downloaded file Update.exe.
This will start the Patch installation program which will guide you through the installation.
You have to close bestIMAGE before launching Update.exe.

The setup only was successful if you read a success message at the end of the installation !

If the installation can not be completed successfully for any reason, you have to completely uninstall all bestIMAGE software and reinstall it, otherwise an unstable configuration might be the result.
Alternatively you may try to re-install the same patch again until it successfully completes.
